Ah, but this is the problem.  Xinerama is supposed to make two screens
function as one.  To me, this means that they function as one, no artificial
boundaries.  If a window positions between the two physical screens so be
it.

Some people want special features when operating in Xinerama such as: single
head maximizing, no window placement acrossed heads, etc.  However each of
these in essence creates some form of artifical boundary on what is supposed
to be one display.
