Salutations,
I have an ultra 10 with solaris 8 on it that I want to install blackbox
on. I compiled and installed blackbox 0.61.1, but when it loads, the colors
are all messed up (mostly everything is black). I installed .5x (whatever
the last .5x release was) and that works (although it runs with like -bpp
8). So my question is thus: has anyone gotten bb 0.61.1 to run on Solaris
8, and if so, what do I need to do to get it to work? I was wondering if I
could install XFree86 instead of the default X that comes with sol8 to get
this to work. I would much rather run .61.1 than the .5x series. Also, if
I am completely out of luck with .61.1, how would i get a better bpp than
whatever i'm using now (in freebsd/linux i'd edit serverargs in startx... is
there a solaris equivalent?).
