I really like aterm for this kind of thing (search freshmeat.net for aterm) you can do some really nifty stuff with them. try out these with aterm, edit for your setup as needed:
<I call this "70's"> aterm -ls -sl 500 -tr -tint green -trsb -tintingType xor -txttype xorInverse -sr -fg black -bg white <I call this "funky"> aterm -ls -sl 500 -sr -trsb -tr -tint black -tintingType nor -txttype and -fg black -bg white you can do neat stuff with transparent tinting of wierd colors, and/or wierd tinting types of normal colors. like the "funky" one. also there is a text-color adapting option so that if you have complicated BG's you can read a bit easier: aterm -ls -sl 500 -txttype xor -sr -trsb -tr -tinttype true -fg white -tinting green -bg black Notice the "-txttype xor" with some trial&&error you can tweak that to your liking. The only downside to the color tinting option is the colored archives/executables/directories when you ls. they get REALLY messed up.... Ive been meaning to complain about that...but i keep forgetting/puttinging it off/playing quake be sure to read the manpage carefully for the tint types, and for a whole slew of neat options. I have whole subsections in my bb menufile dedicated to any size or color terminal i could ever need. I like green transparent ones with the "frameWidth: 0" option in your blackbox style file. It makes it look a LOT better. Hope i was able to help 'An Object at Rest Cannot be Stopped!'
