I agree.  However, I'm not sure if dark font on light background is more
readable than the other way around.  As long as the *contrast* is just
right, it should remain readable to most people.

Maybe "gray" was not a good suggestion for the text-color on a black
background, but how 'bout "wheat"?  I generally find that a pleasing
combination (have it on most of my terminals), as the contrast is not
too harsh (such as black and white (no matter which on which))...

Maybe it's just me, I kinda like dark backgrounds, it seems.
