What you have missed is that Marc does not use Xinerama much.  Instead he
actually uses blackbox's support for multiple Screen's.  A window opened under
one screen can not be moved to the other.  You do not get dead areas, mix
matched windows, etc.  So from his point of view this problem does not exist. 
In fact it goes against the point of Xinerama which is to glue several monitors
together to create large video screens for demos and movies.

As you may guess, others disagree with some of his views but from a purely
fact based view point his is 100% correct.
