All of these problems mention Opera.  They also mention the bbkeys key
bindings.  You guys wouldn't happen to be using the windows key (the one
between Ctrl and Alt on newer keyboards) as the modifier to change
workspaces, would you?  Opera is written to catch that windows key and
it opens a menu (try hitting the windows key, letting go, and hitting
down... it should bring up one of the opera menus).  That can screw
around with a lot of stuff (Opera, that is).  Also it could be the
bbkeys no-focus bug... where if no windows are focused then bbkeys
doesn't catch any keypresses.  Then just moving the mouse over the
bbpager (that's what I do) or changing workspaces so that something gets
focus will correct that.
