It's not. It must be particular to your machine. Bring your /etc/ld.so.conf back into it's initial state, run ldconfig, download the latest sources, extract them and run configure. post the output of configure here. "uname -a" might also be helpful. Also, I would appreciate it, if you could refrain from top-posting and snip quotes that are not needed.
