yes yes yes.  i use alt+left button to drag windows
around 95% of the time, doing the same for dockapps
(whoops, slit apps ;)) would make it consistent,
logical, fast and easy.  the menu idea is not a bad
one, but its not a *great* one either.  it would work,
but if you moved slit apps often, i think it would get
cumbersome.

i agree, dock is the sort of ubiquitous word for it. 
wharf reminds me of the ocean and big boats.  box....i
dont think so.  "the box", just doesnt sound right. 
my vote is for dock, but of course if anyone has any
other interesting ideas it would be cool to hear them.
