Hello everyone,

i found a mention of this bug (is it one?) regarding an earlier
version of the text manipulation plug-in:
http://www.43folders.com/2005/11/21/qs-redux?page=1 (see: comments, or
search for: "un-unicode")
But as I'm using the current version (B53, 3815) with all the latest
plug-ins, I decided to ask here:

When I append text containing german "umlaute" (ä,ö,ü) via Quicksilver
to a txt-file (that has been saved with Unicode UTF-8), I won't be
able to open it in TextEdit again using UTF-8. (Neither in other apps
requiring the UTF-8 unicode for text files, e.g. TaskPaper)

Appending "normal" letters and numbers works fine. This means that QS
somehow un-unicodes the text-files under certain circumstances. Is
this due to a wrong system wide setting (my system language is german)
or can it be a bug in QS? (I'm using a G4 PPC with OSX 10.4.11).

Thanks for any help,

Albert
