Corrupted image and plugin timeouts

Have QS betat52 running on PB G4.  Fresh download of QS.3815.dmg.bz2,
decompress to .dmg file, but will not mount with error message that
there are "no mountable file systems."  Also, using QS to install
plugins always results in timeout errors.   All permissions set to my
user in application support folder.  Is this project still in public
development?
