I haven't used ubiquity much at all yet but I would want this to work
similar to the plugins that support keyword searches for safari (Acid
Search, SafariStand, and Sogudi). These might not currently work but
the idea is right.
Ubiquity should have an api that lets QS catalog the keywords. Then
the QS plugin should allow these Ubiquity keywords to be used with the
Search For... and Find With... actions. Combining this with the
Current Selection proxy object and ⌘esc would be great.
If there are keywords that just behave like bookmarks (like I think
your "last-email" example is supposed to), it could catalog those and
use the Open URL... action or a "Run Ubiquity Command" action.

I think it would be really awesome if you could pipe things to
Ubiquity from Quicksilver An example of when you would want to do this
is when your in another application eg. TextEdit and you want to
perform a ubiquity command eg. get a map of a location or display your
last Mail email. (Yes I know these things are possible with
quicksilver by its self but in my opinion Ubiquity is better
integrated with the web and Firefox)
The interface could something work like this (This is probably not the
best way but this is what I thought of)-
- You summon quicksilver via your keyboard shortcut.
- In the first pane you press period to bring up text mode
- Then you type a Ubiquity command eg. "last-email"
- Tab across to the next pane and type "pipe to ubiquity" (or
something similar)
- Press enter
Then your current application is swapped to Firefox with the results
of your ubiquity command opened.

What are your thoughts about this idea? Is it possible? Would it be
too hard to make?
I would love it someone made a plugin that did and implemented this
well
