Have you tried this with any other X11 apps? My suspicion is that
because X11 is actually a completely different windowing environment
from Aqua (the native OS X environment), X11 apps won't respond the
way native apps do. Also, what happens when you use ⌘⇥ (Cmd-Tab) to
switch applications?
