I have the same problem,but not just applications. Periodically, usually when I haven't used QS yet that "session," nothing is indexed. That is, QS doesn't show files, apps, or anything after I type a few letters. The only solution I've found is to quit and relaunch QS. Rescanning the catalog doesn't help. I'm using ß54 3815. I've also noticed that QS is less stable than it used to be. For example, I just used the QS menu "About" to check the version information and it quit.
I'd sure love to know how to solve these problems.
