Can you see the 100 contacts in the first pane?
If you bring up Address Book in the first pane and type right-arrow do you see all the contacts? Do the 89 other contacts that don't appear in the 3rd pane have email addresses set? In the QS Catalog under Modules, next to Apple Address Book is the box checked and is there number to the left of the checkbox? Below that is an entry for Recent Email Addresses, is this checked and by any chance is the number 11 to the left of the checkbox? Perhaps this is the source of the contacts.

When you say "Gmail notifier is set as my default email app" what do you mean? In Quicksilver or in Mail.app Preferences (where OS X mysteriously puts the UI to set the default email app). "Gmail notifier" is unrelated to using Gmail in quicksilver. In the QS prefs under Handlers for Email I see choices for "Mail" or "Gmail Module".

- em (gives me "Email To.. (Compose)") - this now has a gear icon, but
used to have the Gmail notifier icon. The Gmail plugin is still
installed and Gmail notifier is set as my default email app, but I
just wondered if that would be of use
- tab
- down arrow - gives me a list of contacts (always the same people)
with 11 of 11 in the bottom left. In the gear menu nothing is ticked.

On a side note when I do choose one of the options in the gear menu
(say sort by name) it doesn't actually add a tick by it or anything to
point out that an option is actually selected...

Given that the setup seems ok, it might be user error. It would
probably help to know exactly what you are doing. What are you typing
in the first pane, which Email to action (compose, send, etc.) and how you know there are only 11 choices in the third pane. I really do want
to know what keys you're typing.

I doubt it's this, but there's often overlooked gear menu at the top
of the results list that has options for sorting and filtering the
results. All seems to be working fine for me and nothing in the
submenus is checked.

yep on B54 (3815) on leopard but no textmate plugin installed. My
plugins are:

- Apple Address Book Module
- Apple Mail Module
- Bezel Interface
- Firefox/Mozilla Module
- Gmail Module
- Growl Notifier
- Hotkey Triggers
- Primer Interface

The only customs settings I have are:
- 1 trigger
- 1 catalog entry
- growl is set for notifications
- quicksilver is set to not appear in either the dock or the menu bar

Not sure if any of these would have a bearing on the problem
though....

If you have the TextMate Ranker plugin installed, try uninstalling it
and restarting QS and see if that helps. (It's known to break the
third pane in some cases).

Do you mean you have 100 contacts in your Apple Address Book or in
the
Gmail address book? I believe QS can only see contacts from Apple
Address Book or Entourage. The Gmail plugin just provides the email
actions, it's a contacts plugin that provides access to the
contacts.

I setup the Gmail module by installing the mail app module first,
then
the Gmail one and setting Gmail Notifier as email app to use in

Any help in getting this fixed would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance
