At this point, starting from the second letter is the only fix. I sent
a note to Etienne Samson a while ago asking him to take a look at
this, and he said he would, but I am not sure if anything further has
happened with it. You could try the latest unofficial build of QS at
http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-alchemy/downloads/list to see if it
works there. If not, you can report the bug at
http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-quicksilver/issues/list.
