The quick and dirty way to fix this would be to quit QS and then trash
the file ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Catalog.plist. This
will reset your catalogue back to default the next time your start QS.
You'll have to set up your custom configurations again, but it should
work.

Oftentimes weird catalogue errors come from having infinite depth
catalogue entries. It can sometime happen that buried somewhere in the
depths of a folder is an alias that points to a higher level in its
own hierarchy, creating a loop. If this happens, QS ends up looping
infinitely through the hierarchy in its catalogue, using up memory and
increasing the likelihood of weird errors.

Howard Melman generally suggests a catalogue of around 5000 items.
Mine is probably closer to 10,000 and works just fine. But in my early
days with QS I had some infinite depth entries that added hordes of
useless entries and really slowed QS down.
