Oops, I forgot to add the second part of my suggestion:

In the catalogue tab of QS's preferences, select "Quicksilver" from
the sidebar, and deselect the "Quicksilver Catalog Entries" entry.
That will prevent the "<whatever> (Catalog)" items from showing up
when the actual item cannot be found.

I keep mine turned off and I've never needed it. In all honesty, I
don't really know why Alcor decided to expose that functionality for
general use.
