I'd like to use Quicksilver as my browser's location bar, but it only offers to open direct URLs (ie: when you append .com etc to it). I have a bunch of search keywords set up on firefox, or VERY often I just want to google, so mostly I just type words into the location bar, and not proper URLs. However, QS doesnt let me open that in the browser, nor could I find a plugin for that.
I installed The Web Searches plugin which mimicks a lot of what I already do, but it added thousands of items to the catalog and it delays things quite a bit. I tried my hand at coming up with an Applescript for it but couldn't get it to work. I just think it would be much more elegant to have something like a "Load text in browser" option which would eliminate the need for the thousands of shortcuts in the websearches plugin, and streamline the entire process. Any ideas on how to accomplish something like that?
