Considering you are new to Mac OS, you are lucky to have found a gem
like Quicksilver.
Forget about what is in that web page.
The action "Move to" which that web page describes "copies" files
instead of moving them if the source files/folders and destination
folder are on different volumes(partitions). So don't use it. This is
normal behaviour in Mac OS unlike Windows.
Do this:
Place this file on your desktop
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/872430/Move%20to.scpt
(place it on desktop only and nowhere else. After following all the
instructions below you can delete it)
copy the text: cp "Desktop/Move to.scpt" "Library/Application
Support/Quicksilver/Actions"
Activate Quicksilver
press "." key on your keyboard
paste the text you copied earlier
press tab key
select "Run a text command in Terminal"
Now activate Quicksilver and press Command+Control+Q
Or
Quit quicksilver and launch it again
After doing the above, you are ready to start using "Move to"
Bring up the file that you want to move in Quicksilver's window,
press comma "," key on your keyboard
press Cmd+X key
Now bring up the folder where you want to move the file in Quicksilver's
window just like you brought the file earlier.
press tab key
select "Move to"
press return key
For moving multiple files, remember to press "," and Cmd+x after each
file and after you collect all files, bring up the destination folder,
press tab, select "Move to" and press return key.
Let me know if you are stuck somewhere.
