i am hoping someone knows how to answer this question. i am looking
for a way to prevent certain large catalogs from appearing in the
'global catalog' when quicksilver is invoked and only appear when you
page into the respective catalog.

my specific actual case could illustrate this better. i currently have
a trigger set for ctrl-D that bring up my 'social
bookmarks' (delicious) catalog only in the quicksilver first pane
(social bookmarks plugin is needed/installed) and this gives me
instant keyboard access to more than a thousand bookmarks i've stored
on delicious. i rank this as one of my top three most used QS features
and love it.

the problem is that these same results also appear when i launch the
main QS display using command-space. the are shown among the other
results and i would rather they only show up when i invoke ctrl-D for
the bookmarks catalog alone.

poking around the preferences of QS i found that 'include in global
catalog', when switched off, removes them from the main QS pane but
also does the same to the entire trigger-based catalog so its of no
use to me.

what i need to figure out is how to 'maintain an index of contents'
that can be accessed from the bookmarks trigger while having 'global
catalog' inclusion off. the former option to maintain index seems to
be grayed out all the time in preferences.

anyone have any clue?
