Hi JoshFree, Thank you for the link. Don't worry about the correct use of letters. I'm not really used with informatics expressions and my native language is french (which helps for writing â…, but maybe you meant ß?).
I installed Quicksilver with Quicksilver-b58-3841.tar.gz and unfortunately, it doesn't work better. For being sure we are talking about the same issue: I am used to invoke Quicksilver for reaching places and launching apps with cmd- space bar AND also (using cmd-=) for directly enter commands (open with, send this by mail, copy in…) on files selected in a finder window. I always had to activate this secod trigger in the trigger window when installing quicksilver on my mac. The issue is: this second REALLY handful functionality of Quicksilver has stopped working since I upgraded to osx 10.6. I looked around for a solution on the web and learned (in a very useful pdf from blacktree I never read before) that I could replace the cmd-= trigger with this sequence: 1. select one or more items on the finder, 2. hit cmd-space (as usual) followed by cmd-g, then tab etc. OR right clic on the item(s) and chose "Get current selection (internal)" at the bottom of the menu instead of hit cmd-=, then tab etc. I will continue using Quicksilver with one of these tricks, changing habits is a good habit. Thank you for keeping Quicksilver working on our macs. For me, the finder was a very nice invention, but I need Quicksilver to feel really cool using it. I would be pleased if I could help. Let me know. jean Here are some technical informations about my mac: I looked in applescript editor: only one quicksilver dictionary in the "open dictionary list", I just finished installing 10.6 on a new blank HDD, containing two partitions (HFS+, journalized), the second partition contains a bootable clone of my 10.5 config, without quicksilver. Here comes a copy-paste from the System Information of my mac Nom du modèle : MacBook Pro Identifiant du modèle : MacBookPro2,2 Nom du processeur : Intel Core 2 Duo Vitesse du processeur : 2,33 GHz Nombre de processeurs : 1 Nombre total de cœurs : 2 Cache de niveau 2 : 4 Mo Mémoire : 2 Go Vitesse du bus : 667 MHz Version de la ROM de démarrage : MBP22.00A5.B07 Version du système : Mac OS X 10.6.3 (10D578) Version du noyau : Darwin 10.3.0
