I can't help fix this other than to say that it used to work but this is one of the many things that changed when we hit 10.6 it seems
I used to use it all the time to select files, move to, folder and then be done now as you say it only copies even if you use move to and then it pops up again with the file selected in the new location, i assume in case you want to do something else with it but I don't !
