In the meantime, you could try the "Firefox workaround": use Xmarks to sync your bookmarks Chrome bookmarks with Firefox, then install the QS Firefox plugin and have it index your bookmarks that way. Only annoyance is that you have to open Firefox every now and then to let Xmarks update.
