Create a trigger that uses “Current Selection” or “Finder Selection” with “Copy
to…” as the action and your “Automatically Add to iTunes” folder in the third
pane. You’ll need to enable proxy objects (if you haven’t already) to get
access to the Current/Finder Selection objects.

Adjust the trigger’s scope. You can tell it to only be active in certain
applications, or to *not* be active in certain applications. (Note that this
hasn’t really worked since 10.4, but there is a fix that will probably be in
the release after next.)

If you want the trigger to work in all applications, then you just have to look
around for something that isn’t used (or that you won’t miss). There’s no easy
way. I tend to use F-keys with some modifier, since those are rarely used.
