Yeah, thing with the column view is a known bug of finder. We've
reported it to apple, but I don't have much hope that they'll fix it
soon.

The only workaround I know: Don't use the column view. Sorry.

The two services are normal, even though I don't remember the reason
why they exist. We are planning to merge them/remove one in the
future, but it's not really the top priority right now. :-)
