Firstly, your first question: This is a known bug with Apple's Finder.app. I have reported this to Apple multiple times, but they seem to be doing nothing about it. the more people that report it, the better: http://bugreport.apple.com/ :) The only solution at the moment is to use ⌘G
Your second question: The 'Send to Quicksilver' service is intended for use by the user (you), and the 'Get Current Selection (Internal)' service is intended for Quicksilver's 'Current Selection' proxy object.
