Hi Rob,
Thanks for the response although I believe you are missing the point somewhat.
The idea behind my suggestion is to actually simplify things instead of adding
yet another key to remember. I think for someone who has been using QS for a
while those actions seem natural to you however for a new user, or someone who
prefers a simplified workflow, you only have to remember one key instead of 3+.
Especially when using one key in the order mentioned by Patrick covers the
majority of use cases out there. Not sure if you have used Launchbar but it
works a lot better then it might sound.
For example if you use spacebar for quick look what is the point of activating
it on folders or apps? Likewise if you have it set to show contents it's
annoying to not have spacebar activate quick look like it does everywhere else
on your mac.
I also feel that the spacebar is such a fluid key which is much easier to use
then other keys. Granted it might not be for everyone but as I mentioned in the
other thread there are already 6 other spacebar behavior options so I don't see
the harm in adding one more "smarter" option :)
