Thanks Patrick. Fixed instantly! It does seem to parse any URL as long as "Show children in results list" is checked. I quite like having children shown, but not if it's going to be causing things to hang all of the time. Often URLs would come up while I was searching for something else, so I'd get a hang if my search string happened to show a URL before the thing I was actually looking for.
