Hi Rob, Thanks for the reply... I kind of see where your going with this, so what your saying is that you start by choosing the application, and then the thing to open... its interesting, but at the moment I do have 39 projects checked out, and ensuring that they all stay in a "recently opened" type list (or trying to open them for the first time), is perhaps a bit of an issue... plus I'm going to need about 2 or 3 entries per project (one for the website, one for the websites resources which aren't uploaded to the live server, and one for the Apache config type stuff).
But as I play without using the ".tmproj" files I have noticed one problem... originally I could set the project name with something like: <key>name</key> <string>XXX</string> But now I'm getting a load of windows called "httpd" and "app"... because I typically end up having at least 2 projects being open at a time. I am aware that TextMate2 has this same problem, likewise so does "Sublime Text 2" (although I have only just started playing with this one). Any thoughts? I am still thinking that I'm going to need to create some kind of custom plugin for QS... do you know if there are any simple ones I can use as a template?
