Same issues on same software System version (10.8.2). Also QS often won't come to foreground even when running. Problem started with the Mountain Lion update a couple months ago. I have rescanned the catalog, restarted .... Quicksilver only runs reliably now when Mail is not running. MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz Core 2, 8G RAM
