Just a theory, but there are a small number of directories that Quicksilver rescans immediately when they change: /Applications ~ ~/Applications ~/Desktop ~/Documents ~/Downloads Computers are pretty fast now, so the rescan could finish before anything useful is displayed. Could any of this explain what you’re seeing? Are multiple users logged in at the same time when this happens?
