So i tried to reset everything by deleting the 4 documents that are
specified in the article and when i ran Quicksilver again, i had to re
download all the plugins i used so i thought my problem was fixed but when
i tried to open a folder, it still does the same thing!

On the first pane is the folder i select, on the second pane is the open
command (with the gear) and when i select that, it automatically adds the
.xls ending to it and STILL tries to open it with Excel thats running in my
VM. Any other ideas that you can think of please, this is really putting a
hamper on my use of it.

Thank you for your quick response though!
