There’s also the “Make New…” action. Assuming you have a template for the type 
of file you want to create in ~/Library/Application 
Support/Quicksilver/Templates, you can select the folder, choose “Make New…”, 
then choose the template the new file should be based on. And the template 
doesn’t have to be a simple file. It can be an entire directory populated with 
files.

The new file will be show in Quicksilver so you can quickly open it (assuming 
MacVim is default for that type) or rename it (since it will have the template 
name initially).
