Thanks for taking the time to respond Rob :) Yes, in the notes, you can click use that command to bring up the search field, but it still only finds which note has that particular word in it, rather than showing you where in the note it is.
And the notes I make within the new notes app don't seem to appear in the mail app, so using the mail plugin doesn't seem to help me (and in any case, it's not of much use for searching mail notes anyway, at this stage). It'd be great if someone could come up with a notes plugin, that allows individual notes to be searched. I can't believe apple have scrapped the command-F ability in the new notes app. Ridiculous.
