I think it'd be a good thing to do, actually. I always find it annoying when I'm looking at other projects' change logs and there are never dates. I'td be a bit more of a fiddle for us on release (since we'd have to update the changelog with dates)… unless we shift to a different style for the changelog whereby we add a separate header for every build (including pre-releases) and then just get the build process to automatically add the date.
