Possibly a little late to the game, but NSPasteboard.org now has a Google Group discussion list for developers.
A "ConcealedType" pasteboard marker has been proposed there to address exactly this problem. That is, instead of marking the pasteboard contents Transient, 1Password could mark them "Concealed", and QS and other clipboard managers/recorders could show "****" or something similar, and also potentially drop the item from the clipboard history after a few minutes. Anyway, if any of the Quicksilver devs want to send an email to [email protected] asking to be invited to the Google Group, you're welcome to join the discussion.
