i *was* a happy QS user until today when, after a briefly update, two of

the two overmentioned modules are the "web search plugin" and the "google

for some reason those two plugin decided that my "architecture" is no more
supported (that's what i get from the information panel).
my mac is a core duo intel and i'm using snow leopard with all the updates
available installed.

What was updated? Quicksilver? If you’re on 10.6, you shouldn’t see anything after version 1.0.0. Did you manually download a newer version of QS or manually download some plug-ins from the web site?

so the question is: how do i get back my old and perfectly usable plugins? is there any way to downgrade them and where i can find the older version?

The list of plug-ins in the preferences should always show the latest versions that will work with your system. So in theory, if you’re on the right version of Quicksilver, those plug-ins that don’t work wouldn’t even show as available. (You might have to delete the currently installed plug-ins and reinstall them to downgrade.)
