Looks like I was able to finally pinpoint the problem! This is crucial (Custom was empty):
Preferences → Catalog → User → Downloads [x]. If that is ticked, the problem occurs. If not ticked, no problem! So this is a some kind of bug, where merely accessing that folder starts mounting some .dmg files. I don't remember why, but I now found that under Downloads I had ffmpegXbinaries20060307 and under that I had those problematic files, or actually Alias files to the installers. Now I deleted that whole folder and the problem is gone. Then I tried recreating that same folder and putting some new aliases to dmg files there, but couldn't replicate the problem.
