What I want is to implement a "Fire off an email" hotkey.

In English, it would look like:

1st Pane: Send email to...
2nd Pane: <Enter name of contact>

But all the email actions seem to be hardwired to expect a contact already
specified:

1st Pane: <Enter name of contact>
2nd Pane: Send item to..., etc.

I absolutely do not want to have a different hotkey for each possible
contact to whom I might want to fire off an email.

I know in the case of three-pane items, I've been able to set up a
placeholder for input, but is there a way to have a trigger where the
subject of Pane 1 is specified at runtime?
