Hi Rob Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry, I didn't mean to post'n'run, but I wrongly assumed I would be notified.
I just tried your suggestion. I get an error: "There was problem[...] This file server is available on on your computer. Access the volumes and files locally." So it seems since it's on localhost (shared from Parallels) i am only able to "browse", though I'm not quite sure of the distinction. My usage scenario is usually something like, "show in finder" (from within Parallels) and then cmd+esc. I just discovered that if have nothing selected in the finder view, things behave normally. The path in QS, then shows as /Volumes/C/... , while if I select an item and hit cmd+esc, the path shows as just /C/... regards /adam Den onsdag den 24. august 2016 kl. 04.30.55 UTC+2 skrev Rob McBroom: > > On 23 Aug 2016, at 16:36, AdamAL wrote: > > I am using Parallels which allows sharing the Windows files to the mac > over > smb. > But when I bring a finder-selection on the share into quicksilver, I don't > have the usual file actions available. > As an example, the path in Finder's "get info" says: > server: smb://localhost/[C] PC/Users > In quicksilver it displays as /C/Users > Is there a way to make this work? > > I access files over SMB pretty frequently and it works as expected.
