I looked at the folders you indicated and it seems the files being written the most are Chrome-related. Now this might be a totally different topic, but my Chrome app's been writing a lot to disk, too. Maybe it has something to do with a lot of tabs. I've disabled the Quicksilver Chrome plugin first and will report back after. Thank you!
