I was thinking about basic features for a run-of-the-mill music library organized by artist, album, tracks plus playlists thereof. Latter could be m3u files for the sake of compatibility, generated, for example, by a third-party application, or even Quicksilver itself. Your File & Folder Scanner suggestion made me think something else actually — I could make a text file with all paths in the music library (sort of iTunes' Library playlist) and applescript actions that would decide what to do depending on the parsed first pane items, folder, track file or a combination with comma trick. My needs are pretty basic: play, pause, stop, queue, add to playlist; I thought stats like counters and stars were cool, but turned out I barely use them and find they are more useful to Apple than the users. > I think a plug-in that gets the metadata directly from the files would be > far more useful for more situations.
