Hi all,

Just wanted to hopefully help anyone who is having a very slow and
unresponsive Quicksilver experience: if you have Karabiner Elements
installed, try uninstalling it and restarting.

I was getting very frustrated with Quicksilver being slow and extremely
unresponsive, including sometimes missing keystrokes right after I would
hit the trigger hotkey if i didn't wait for the QS interface to pop up
(which was taking a long time). After some troubleshooting I discovered
that the culprit was Karabiner Elements (an open source keyboard
customization app) that I had running to customize the F-keys on my 2014
MacBook Pro. After uninstalling Karabiner and rebooting (Warning: after
uninstallation my built-in keyboard stopped working entirely until I
rebooted), QS was back to its zippy, reliable self that I remember fondly,
and have sworn by since I started using it on a Powerbook G4 back in 2005.
Yay!

My system: MacBookPro11,3 (2014, 15"), macOS 10.13.6, Quicksilver 1.6.0,
Karabiner-Elements 12.1.0

But I'm guessing it would be the case on other configurations also, because
I have been experiencing it for a while, slowly getting worse.

best,
Arvid
