#2021: OpenOffice patch descriptions ----------------------------------------+----------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.2 Component: BOOK | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Keywords: ----------------------------------------+----------------------------------- The descriptions of the OpenOffice patches are confusing.
1. The first one listed says it is a 'required' patch for "recent" versions of X. What is recent? 7.1? 7.0? 6.9? 6.8? It should be listed so there is no confusion. 2. The next two patches are listed as 'optional' if blah, blah, blah. This also is confusing. Is it really optional? I don't *have* to do it? These patches should be described as 'required' if blah, blah, blah. That way folks know one way or the other what they must do. Right now all 3 patches require guesswork if they should be applied. There should be no guesswork involved. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/2021> BLFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs> Beyond Linux From Scratch -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
