Already disposed of 'make cups', and now I find that the sed is NOT
required - on a system without X, gsx apparently got (DESTDIR) installed
by 'make soinstall', but is only linked to libgs, libc, ld-linux, and the
kernel vdso. This is enough to give a prompt, and running it on a ps file
reports the fonts and some BoundingBox data but is clearly unable to
display the output. So, it sort of works (not a lot better than executing
'gs') and I can't see any reason to prevent it getting installed.
