Just finished a user install of 15.0 xulrunner and firefox on LFS-7.2 (in
a scratch user-owned directory), using the current instructions with an
extended prefix in front of /usr, without disabling the elf hack, and
managed to run it from where I had installed it.
The elf-hack gets mentioned a lot on google. Recent reports are mainly
from arch users with glibc-2.16.0, but according to
[https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=771569] it was seen with
both 14.0b10 which I assume predates 14.0, and 15.0a2, and was fixed in
July. I don't think the book needs to disable the elf hack.
