I thought it was the the problem, but sick of it, gave up, without even
trying.
This has happened frequently in the past. I all cases, first thing is
exactly what you have done: use bundled one.
If it is easy enough, submit a patch, never downgrade the book (I learned
that the hard way).
If it is not easy to find a patch, we remove the switch from default in
the book.
