Just some facts from the past.
Gnome, Qt, LO were installed at /opt. Not after Armin. First, he took
Gnome to /usr. Long discussion, finished after he wrote either his way or
nothing. Qt, Bruce tried to accommodate giving two alternatives. Not good
for Armin who left the book, asked to remove his privileges. LO, there was
no complaint. I think there is another package, but cannot remember now.
When started editing, I tried to get things as they were before. Bu
respecting his wishes, as alternatives usr or opt. He does not like
alternatives. He only likes what he wants.
Yesterday you were running in opt. As usual, without combining with you,
he just removed /opt. As he did with Qt. So, be warned: you will have to
accept whatever he wants, he will never ask your opinion.
I remember that you were installing gnome in opt, did you change for usr?
For what reason, if you don't my asking?
This constant stress with Armin decreases a lot the pleasure of working
for BLFS.
