mkdir build ; cd build ; meson --prefix=/wherever ; ninja ;
(DESTDIR=/somewhere) ninja install.
The build is all-but non-existent. And no docs installed.
Using the configure script, nothing to be done for make, but make install
will install the following docs:
ls PROTOCONF/usr/share/doc/xorgproto/
compositeproto.txt dri3proto.txt presentproto.txt resproto.txt
damageproto.txt fixesproto.txt randrproto.txt xv-protocol-v2.txt
dri2proto.txt PM_spec renderproto.txt
