Looking at my branch, the only dependency is Net::SSLeay-1.85 (that
version is still current), which may try to run external tests.
Lemme try on an 8.3 system with minimal perl. Hmm,
t/local/07_sslecho.t ................... 1/78
That is on localhost. Trying with the default 'n' for external
tests it hangs at 2/78 in the same test.
In 8.3 the tests (local) completed in 8 seconds.
Looks like cpan bug #125218 might be relevant, will look when I have
an available desktop system (they are catching up with browser
updates at the moment).
Just booted a different 8.3 system, gave Net::SSLeay a quick build
and the tests whizzed through.
I think it's related to OpenSSL-1.1.1, which is in SVN. It's just a
hunch though. There were some API changes in there that might aggravate
some packages.
